Operations Manager (Part-Time)

7B Design is looking for a highly organized, detail-oriented Operations Manager to support our interior design projects and day-to-day business operations. The ideal candidate appreciates beautiful, thoughtfully designed spaces and understands that strong organization, communication, and follow-through are essential to delivering an elevated client experience. This role is perfect for someone who is extremely organized, proactive, solutions-oriented, and enjoys keeping projects, processes, and people moving smoothly behind the scenes.

Our work blends elevated, livable interiors with a high-touch client experience, and strong operations are at the center of that process. Projects are primarily located in Westchester, NY.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support projects from the design presentation phase through final installation, helping manage specifications, budgets, documentation, and the transition from design to procurement

  • Manage timelines, schedules, tracking systems, and project documentation

  • Coordinate deliveries, installations, vendor communication, and site logistics

  • Assist with procurement, order tracking, damages, and punch lists

  • Maintain and continue improving internal systems and operational processes

  • Manage operational expenses, sample orders, client gifting, and accessory inventory for projects and presentations

  • Support billing, administrative tasks, and overall firm operations

  • Help prepare for installations, photoshoots, and firm events

  • Keep projects running smoothly while maintaining 7B Design’s standards for organization, communication, and client experience

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required

  • 2–3 years of operations or project management experience in interior design, construction, or a related field

  • Highly organized, process-driven, and detail-oriented

  • Strong communication skills with a polished and professional demeanor

  • Self-starter with strong accountability and follow-through

  • Passion for interiors, craftsmanship, and thoughtful design

  • Proficiency in Google Workspace, Canva, and Asana required

  • Familiarity with DesignFiles and SketchUp is a plus

  • Valid driver’s license and reliable car required

  • Must be located in Westchester or within approximately 30 minutes of Scarsdale

  • Comfortable standing, lifting, and assisting with installations and events as needed

Position Details

  • Part-time, approximately 20–30 hours per week

  • Consistent schedule preferred with some flexibility built in

  • Primarily remote, with flexibility for occasional in-person studio meetings, site visits, installations, and events as needed

  • Competitive hourly compensation based on experience
